Have you ever heard of ‘panda yaki’?
Birds, pigs, cows, sheep, deer… pandas!
Disembowelling and eating pandas? It’s quite the ‘devil’s work’…
As the name suggests, a roasted panda.
It is not. Now let’s have a look at the full picture.

How pretty they look.
Made in Yahiko City, Niigata Prefecture,「BUNSUIDO」(confectioner).
It won the Grand Prix at the Nippon National Products Exhibition in 2010.
The ‘White Panda Baked Yahiko Musume (edamame) An’ is said to be highly recommended.
There are many different flavours, including red bean paste, edamame, chocolate, custard and, for a limited time, pumpkin.
One dog would be lovely, but..

When they are lined up in supermarkets and other places, they are quite powerful.
I wonder if the pandas at the zoo see humans like this…
Taiyaki, takoyaki and panda yaki. Aren’t these the only sweet things made from baked animals!
I bought some.

warmed it up in the toaster for a minute or two.
It was quite brutal and I felt ruthless.
I thought they would be squishy.
Surprisingly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
I urge you to try it if you have the chance.
